What is Google™ Checkout?

Google™ Checkout is a service provided by google.com by which you can securely complete and pay for your powerc.com order using Visa (including Visa Electron), MasterCard and Maestro (including Switch/Solo). It is an alternative to using our secure checkout process.

How do I use Google™ Checkout on powerc.com?

When you add a product to your shopping basket or click on the VIEW BASKET link at the top right of every page, you will be taken to the shopping basket page which looks like this:

If you click the button you will be taken through our normal, secure checkout process and you will submit your payment details directly to us. However, if you click on the Google™ Checkout button (shown by the red arrow above), you will taken to a page hosted by Google and they will take care of the rest of your order.

As you can see from the above picture, in order to use Google™ Checkout, you will need to create a Google Account, entering your personal details and choosing a password to associate with your account. Once you have done this, you will only need to enter your email address and password the next time you use Google™ Checkout to complete and order.

At any time you can click the Edit Order link at the top right of any Google™ Checkout page to return to the shopping basket on powerc.com to add items or modify your shopping basket.

When you have completed the checkout process you will be sent a confirmation email from Google and you will have the option to return to powerc.com. You will be able to login to your Google™ Checkout account at any time to check the status of current and previous orders.

If, in addition, you have created an account with powerc.com you will also be able to view your order history with us by logging in to your powerc.com account.

Please note that if you have used a powerc.com money-off voucher while shopping with us, the Google™ Checkout facility will not be available; you will checkout using our own secure checkout facility.

Any payments you make to us through Google™ Checkout will appear on your credit/debit card statement as 'Google * powerc bedford'.

Why would I use Google™ Checkout?

Google™ Checkout is convenient if you shop across many internet stores that support it since you will be able to manage all your orders from different stores by logging in to your one Google™ Checkout account. This can save a great deal of time compared with creating different accounts with different stores.

Google™ Checkout also offers you security if you are not sure about the credibility of a particular internet store; if a company accepts Google™ Checkout, it has gone through some fairly rigorous checking procedures and you can feel confident that your order will be in safe hands.
